Counselor
Under the supervision of the Clinic Director and Clinical Supervisor, our Counselors are ultimately responsible for proactively creating a therapeutic alliance with our patients following the admission process. Additional responsibilities include.
1) Conducting Treatment Needs Assessments on patients entering treatment.
2) Providing group therapy.
3) Presenting lectures.
4) Assisting patients with reaching their treatment goals.
5) Maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
Shifts as early as 5:
30 a.m.with an occasional Saturday morning shift.
A minimum of two years experience in the provision of chemical dependency treatment required.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Job Requirements
1) Associate's degree required.
2) Certified as a Counselor Trainee (minimum)
3) Demonstrated ability to create a therapeutic alliance with patients.
4) Strong personal/professional boundaries.
5) Ability to work independently while requesting guidance as necessary to promote a healthy
environment for our patients.
6) Ability to work as part of a team environment with excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written
communication skills required.
7) Good computer skills
