Summary:
This position will be full-time initially while our Production Editor is out on maternity leave. The position will then turn into part-time. The Production Editor has a keen eye for detail, grammar, and consistency. Must have both copyediting and project management experience. This position works closely with authors, designers, sales, marketing, Web team, and vendors to coordinate, edit, and produce high-quality, error-free products on deadline. Requires the ability to understand and execute complex production processes for both print and online products, including e-newsletters, scholarly publications, event brochures/collaterals, white papers, and educational materials. The successful candidate must work independently; edit meticulously; track multiple deadlines, production processes, and lines of correspondence; display superior customer service skills; and take pride, ownership, and creative interest in his/her work.
Telecommuting may be considered for an experienced candidate.
Essential Job Functions:
Edits and manages production of TDWI publications and marketing materials, including but not limited to:What Works,TDWI FlashPoint,TDWI's Best of BI, Salary and Benchmark reports, Ten Mistakes to Avoid series, Checklist Reports, E-Books, trip reports, marketing e-mails and brochures, and event collaterals. Also performs production using in-house content management systems, Sitecore, as needed for all of the above.
Primary contact for editing various TDWI brochures, electronic publications, e-mail promotions, and websites. Coordinates with managing production editor, editorial director, sales, marketing, sponsors, Web team, and designers.
Develops processes that ensure course content is up-to-date and error-free in multiple locations; responsible for copyediting TDWI conference brochures.
Maintains white paper library in Sitecore.
Develops and maintains editorial processes for content posted to Sitecore, such as publications, course descriptions, white papers, Webinars, Chapter information, blogs, and Solutions Gateways, developing processes as needed, and maintaining existing processes.
Maintains internal style guides and reference documents.
Performs other duties as assigned, directed, or requested.
Required:
Education level required: Bachelor's degree in applicable field such as English, communications, publishing, etc.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the field
Flexible, hardworking, a self-starter, organized, reliable, and a problem solver
Able to work independently and with little direction or supervision
Excellent communication skills; candidate must feel comfortable coordinating with many different contributing authors and vendors
Strong editing background and skills
Attention to detail with strong organizational and project management skills to manage several ongoing projects simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
Familiarity with HTML and Web editing experience
Basic knowledge of content management systems (Sitecore)
Familiarity with Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Acrobat
Familiarity with project management software (Basecamp)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
