Senior Promotions Manager Job
Summary:
The Licensing & Promotions Team is responsible for creating and executing a range of activities, including (but not limited to) merchandise licensing, promotions and experiential partnerships that increase the visibility of the Pok mon brand across the globe.
Our primary geographic remit is US & Canada, Latin America and Australia/New Zealand.
Within the team, this new role will be responsible for driving impact by ideating, pitching and executing high-visibility branded activations aligned with company goals.
The ideal applicant is a big picture thinker with a track record of bold programs that challenge conventional thinking and invite people to see brands and/or products in a new light.
Activations should have a merchandise component, and can be a blend of projects that delight existing fans and/or projects that reach new audiences.
Brand authenticity is critical.
The focus will be on non-traditional distribution channels in the United States such as transportation, sports venues, museums, national parks, libraries, etc.
A separate team currently manages FMCG promotions targeted to traditional brick & mortar channels, as well as QSRs.
Currently the role is leveled as an Individual Contributor.
However, as the scope and scale of projects increase, there is the potential to build a team as necessary.

Director, Licensing & Promotions What you'll do Business Development:
Ideate high-visibility branded activations aligned with company goals.
Build internal consensus to gain stakeholder support.
Pitch programs and negotiate commercial terms.
Project Implementation:
Direct accountability for implementing projects as pitched.
Clearly communicate project timelines and deliverables to internal and external partners.
Rally internal teams to ensure timelines are met and the final product execution meets brand standards.
Product Development:
Many activations will have a licensed merchandise component.
Collaborate with Licensing & Promotions team members overseeing Toys, Hardlines, Softlines and FMCG to develop brand appropriate products to support the wider initiative.
In some cases new licensees may need to be pitched and onboarded.
Build Relationships:
Multi-faceted activations will require collaboration across numerous internal departments and teams (brand marketing, retail marketing, social media, public relations, legal, brand services, etc.
).
Success will depend on understanding the needs and capabilities of internal stakeholders, and building strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect - and a shared love of all things Pok mon.
Brand Immersion:
Dedicate time to learning core Pok mon pillars (video games, Trading Card Game, organized play, animated and live action content, consumer products, etc.
) to ensure project ideation is authentic to the brand.
Stay abreast of brand developments and new product introductions.
Financial Planning:
Fiscal responsibility for annual budget and quarterly forecast cycles.
Present financial results and related business insights to senior management.
What you'll bring Education:
BS or BA Degree and/or equivalent working experience.
Experience:
8-10 years minimum related experience, with successful track record pitching, negotiating and implementing branded activations.
Leadership:
Ability to think creatively and strategically, imparting an entrepreneurial can-do attitude to the role.
Communication Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to interact well with work-groups and various personalities.
Ability to present and sell-in creative concepts and execution ideas with internal and external stakeholders.
Pok mon Brand Knowledge:
Given the importance of ideating activations that are authentic to the brand, a working knowledge of Pok mon's pillars and brand attributes is preferred.
Computer skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
