Self Storage Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:
As the Self Storage Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility, including keeping the property clean, performing landscaping, providing tours of the property, meeting revenue goals by renting units, selling tenant insurance, and other retail supplies and keeping up with maintenance items.
The Self Storage Manager will manage all account receivables by taking full ownership of all collections of delinquent units.
The Self Storage Manager must be able to offer exceptional customer service both in person and on the phone.
The ideal candidate for this position will have an entrepreneurial spirit, strong sales skills, and a drive to help the facility/asset succeed! This position also assists with the cleanup of the property and light yard work as needed.
COMPENSATION AS A SELF STORAGE MANAGER:
Competitive Starting salary $16-$18 per hour Compensation includes On-Site Living, including utilities (Valued at $15,000/year +/-) Monthly Bonus Opportunities $500 employer contribution towards medical premium (available after 60 days) Dental, Vision and other supplementary benefits available Holiday Pay Paid Time Off (PTO) Work/Home Life Balance Personal and Professional development opportunities RESPONSIBILITIES AS A SELF STORAGE MANAGER Renting storage spaces based on customers' needs using strong sales strategies Providing excellent service and building excellent rapport with new and existing customers Accepting payments and completing daily bank deposits Keeping the property and office clean and tidy, walking around the property performing lock checks, and showing the units to customers Physical requirements of the job include daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the property, opening and closing the storage doors (up to 50 lbs.
), and performing maintenance items Maintenance duties will include; repairing units, painting & door repairs Other general office duties On-call for emergency maintenance as needed and must be available by cell phone.

Qualifications:
Willingness to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds 2-3 years of managerial experience Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel Strong written and verbal communication Professional presentation Basic carpentry skills and experience with facilities maintenance Must have a flexible schedule with weekend availability Ability to solve problems involving:
residents, personnel, finances, equipment/ maintenance issues, emergency situations, etc.
